Body in suitcase: Three held in police probe after woman found in Grand Union Canal

Three men are in custody over the suspected murder of a woman found dead in a suitcase in the Grand Union Canal.
Police were tonight appealing for anyone who uses the canal and saw anything suspicious to contact them urgently.
The men, aged 30, 34 and 38, were arrested yesterday evening, but the Met has been unable to say so for "strong operational reasons" until now.
Police now believe the body had been in the suitcase for up to a fortnight and had been dumped in the water further along the canal.
The body was found at about 2.30pm on Sunday near Delamere Terrace in Little Venice.
Detectives believe they know who the woman is - but they have yet to speak to her next of kin. A post mortem had inconclusive results and Scotland Yard this evening said "further tests" would be carried out.
Det Ch Insp Simon Ashwin from the Met's homicide and major crime command said: "I would like to ask for the help of all those people who use or live on the Grand Union Canal.
"We now believe that the body, placed in a black suitcase, was placed in the Grand Union Canal at some point in the last two weeks.
"While the body was recovered near to Little Venice it is highly likely that she entered the water further along the canal.
"Did you see or hear anything suspicious or see a black suitcase in the canal?"
