Rihanna denies wading into Israel Palestine row with tweet which was quickly deleted

Rihanna found herself in the middle of a Twitter storm last night after a message of support for Palestine was posted on her account.
The post was deleted just eight minutes after it appeared on her account, which has over 36 million followers.
It read simply #FreePalestine.
According to one Twitter analysis website the message was retweeted nearly 7,000 times before being deleted.
"Let’s pray for peace and a swift end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! Is there any hope?" she hastily wrote in a follow-up tweet.

A source close to the Barbados-born songstress told celebrity website TMZ that she had clicked a link in an article and the politically charged post had posted online.
"She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted," the source said, adding: "She didn't even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans."
Message: Rihanna's deleted tweet
It’s not the first time Rihanna has found herself drawn into the conflict.
At a show in Tel Aviv last October, she was accused of singing 'All I see is Palestine' instead of 'All I see is dollar signs' in the song 'Pour it Up,' with the implication being that Israel was rightly Palestinian.

But the media firestorm quickly blew over with the Israeli newspaper Haaretz issuing a retraction after a recording emerged to prove she’d been misheard.
The 26-year-old ‘Diamonds’ singer may have been regretting publicly getting involved in the long-running conflict between Israel and Palestine yesterday but she had no such concerns about partying with the German football team following their World Cup triumph.
'I touched the cup, held the cup, kissed the cup, took a selfie wit the cup!!!' she tweeted on Monday. 'I meeeaan ….. what is YO bucket list looking like bruh?'
She has sold more than 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time.

Many of her songs rank among the world's best-selling singles of all time, such as "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", "Disturbia", "We Found Love", "Diamonds" and "Stay."
In 2012, Time magazine named Rihanna one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Her publicist was unavailable for comment last night.
