BA passenger 'hospitalised after bag falls on head from overhead locker' at Heathrow

A British Airways flight
A plane passenger had to be rushed to hospital after being hit on the head by a bag which fell from an overhead locker.
The man reportedly fell to the floor after the freak accident on a British Airways plane which was waiting to take off at Heathrow Airport.
A witness said there was a “terrible sound” as a heavy bag landed on the man’s head, before he collapsed.
Paramedics were called to the jet and took the man to nearby Hillingdon Hospital.
A source told the Sun: "The passenger was getting ready for the flight when suddenly the overhead locker burst open and a heavy-duty bag landed on his head.

“There was a terrible sound on impact and he collapsed. It was a freak accident.”
The plane had been due to take off for Thailand capital Bangkok.
London Ambulance Service said it treated a man for a head injury and took him to hospital as a priority patient.
A spokesman for BA said: “Our crew cared for a customer who was injured after boarding the aircraft.
“We take the health and safety of our customers very seriously and our cabin crew receive extensive training to deal with incidents on board.
“He was taken to a local hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
