Radio host sues Taylor Swift for accusing him of touching her bottom

A former radio personality has filed a lawsuit against singer Taylor Swift, saying he lost his job after being accused of inappropriately touching the singer during a photo session.
David Mueller, a host from Colorado’s Denver station KYGO-FM, says he was falsely accused by one of Swift’s security team of grabbing the singer’s buttocks backstage at the Pepsi Center on 2 June 2013.
The incident had allegedly taken place before the concert when Mueller and his girlfriend, Shannon Melcher, met Swift and had their picture taken with her, CNN reports.
The couple was later approached by personnel from Swift’s security and management team, who had them removed from the venue.
The lawsuit says Mueller was fired two days later from his job.
Mueller denies inappropriate contact with the 25-year-old pop star and the lawsuit noted that he had met many other celebrities without incident.
A statement from Swift’s publicist on Saturday said Mueller’s employer was given evidence after the incident and made its own decision on his future.
The Denver Post reported that Mueller, who has worked in radio for 20 years, has now been banned for life from Swift’s shows.
